Weston, June 9, 2022 – Ricoh kicks off the month of June dedicated to global contributions and actions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As every year, the company celebrates the "Global SDGs Action Month" in order to encourage all its employees to participate in environmental and social activities, and in this way, establish a sense of accomplishment through work.

At the core of the Ricoh Group's management approach lies the sustainable enhancement of corporate value by actively working to address and resolve social issues. Ricoh believes this is achieved by taking on a few strategic initiatives to drive its contributions to the SDGs. During this month, the company will share studies as well as the execution of various activities for employees to deepen mutual understanding of efforts in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) materials.

In 2021, the main theme of "Global SDGs Action Month" was "Accelerating SDG actions based on materiality." Ricoh Group companies focused on further strengthening and disseminating SDGs and CSR-related activities.

This year, activities will be held under the theme "SDG action drives employees to feel fulfilled and proud of their work." In a survey of employees in Japan in March 2022, 93% of participants responded positively to the idea that efforts to solve social problems are related to "feeling fulfilled at work." Therefore, this year's activities aim to help each Ricoh Group employee understand the SDG efforts of their colleagues and reaffirm the sense of achievement and fulfillment through work.

Ricoh's founding principles, the "Spirit of Three Loves (love your neighbor, love your country, and love your work)," are in line with the notion of a society that leaves no one behind, a key tenet of the SDGs. Ricoh believes that every employee should consider how their work will contribute to customers and society, based on the SDGs, and put that knowledge into action. The company will continue to work on solving social problems through its business, aiming to realize its vision of "Wholeness through Work" by 2036, the 100th anniversary of its founding.

All Ricoh Group employees can support and understand these activities as a benchmark to deepen the sense of achievement and fulfillment through work.
