For its good sustainability practices, EcoVadis awards Ricoh with gold rating

The sustainability survey conducted by EcoVadis recognized Ricoh Company, Ltd with a gold rating for excellence in its sustainability programs. This award places Ricoh among the top 5% of companies evaluated in its industry in terms of sustainability performance.

Founded in 2007, EcoVadis is the world's most trusted provider of corporate sustainability ratings focused on environmental, social and corporate governance practices, and works to help companies improve their environmental and social practices throughout their global supply chains. It assesses more than 90,000 companies from over 160 countries in 200 business sectors against corporate policies, initiatives and achievements in four key areas - Environment, Human and Labor Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. Since its first gold rating in 2014, Ricoh has consecutively received the same rating in the survey.

Ricoh's commitment, especially in the areas of "Environment" and "Sustainable Procurement," was highly recognized in this survey, a testament to the company's proactive approach to addressing environmental management and sustainable procurement activities in collaboration with suppliers. In 2019, Ricoh became the first Japanese company to participate in the "Business for Inclusive Growth (B4IG)" initiative to address inequality in workplaces and supply chains. In the same year, it joined the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), which promotes social responsibility in global supply chains.

In order to provide an effective global framework for its corporate social responsibility activities, the Ricoh Group identified nine priority issues (also known as material issues), aligned with 12 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Group aims to resolve these issues through its business activities to achieve a sustainable society that balances global economic, social and environmental issues. Ricoh will contribute to the achievement of the SDGs by solving social issues across the value chain through business and realizing a sustainable society.
