History and Context

Acciona Transmisión Peru SAC is part of a group of companies linked to ACCIONA S.A., a subsidiary of the Spanish multinational ACCIONA, with extensive experience in developing and managing energy infrastructure projects in the country.

With a solid operational presence in Peru, Acciona Transmisión Peru SAC has experience in managing more than 1,700 km of transmission lines and multiple electrical substations, operating under high technical and safety standards.

Its mission, aligned with that of its parent company, is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of critical electrical transmission infrastructure, contributing to the sustainable development of the energy system and the reliable supply of industries and communities in the country.

Business Challenge

Faced with the adoption of a hybrid working model, Acciona Transmisión Peru SAC set out to modernize its document and print management, aligning itself with the new operational dynamics of its teams. The company required a solution that would allow remote printing without compromising confidentiality or control of information.

One of the main challenges was related to information security. The company needed to ensure that no equipment was exposed or out of control, guaranteeing that only authorized users could access the devices and release print jobs.

In addition, the IT department faced a high operational burden associated with user and equipment management. Manual access management, individual installation of print queues, and the lack of centralized visibility into device status created inefficiencies and risks in daily operations.

In this context, the company needed a comprehensive platform that would allow it to centralize management, automate processes, strengthen security, and improve operational efficiency, supporting its growth and hybrid work model.

Ricoh Solution

To meet the needs of Acciona Transmisión Peru SAC, Ricoh implemented a comprehensive solution that combined state-of-the-art multifunctional equipment with advanced management, reporting, and auditing software tools.

This solution was enhanced with the implementation of Ricoh CloudStream, a cloud-based management software that centralized the administration of the printing environment, strengthened document security through access control integrated with Active Directory, and ensured that user permissions were automatically updated in the event of new hires, departures, or personnel changes. The platform also incorporated authentication, information encryption, and detailed auditing of usage by user and area, operating 100% online without the need for local servers.

Results

The implementation of Ricoh's solutions led to significant improvements in Acciona Transmisión Peru SAC's operations and working environment:

Reduction in IT operational effort through automation and centralized management, reducing administrative burden and improving control and management of the printing environment, without requiring local infrastructure.
Strengthened information security and enabled hybrid working through authentication, encryption, and continuous auditing, aligned with the company's ISO standards, provided a secure, driverless printing experience from any location.
