Colegio Capouilliez is one of the educational institutions with the most renown and experience at the national level, within the Republic of Guatemala. Business challenge
After analyzing the general panorama of the school, different needs were detected. The first point to work on that was identified was the need to reduce printing and maintenance costs, referring to various printing equipment that the institution had. As a second point of need, the implementation of new technologies was identified to update and reinforce an innovation-oriented teaching methodology. Finally, a point of improvement was detected in the area of document management, since all accounting documents were stored in boxes full of papers, which made it complicated and laborious when needing to consult any accounting document, thus losing too much. time to access a document.
Ricoh Solution
By analyzing the main needs of the Capouilliez School, in order to establish the path to facilitate the fulfillment of its objectives, the following solutions will be provided.
- For the need to reduce printing costs, the number of printing equipment within the facilities is reduced, centralizing the location of several larger capacity printing equipment at strategic points to facilitate access to prints. That is to say, a Ricoh Intelligent Multifunction Printer achieved the efficiency expected by the center, which previously depended on 7 printing equipment from other brands, allowing the institution to increase productivity in its printing and enable more physical space in its facilities. With this action, the center achieved significant monthly savings in maintenance costs, spare parts and ink refills per month. Likewise, Ricoh Streamline NX was implemented, a software on the printing equipment that allows identifying which person in the institution is printing, how much they print per month and what they print, so that control over the equipment was increased. thus reducing unnecessary printing or printing not related to the school's regular activities, thus contributing to the reduction of monthly printing expenses.
- Regarding the need to implement updated teaching equipment, it is installed in 56 Ricoh Interactive Screens, to expand the teaching possibilities by teachers with students, achieving all the whiteboard tools, screens for presentations, interactive activities , projection of teaching material and remote interaction with students, in a single solution. Likewise, a STEM Laboratory was implemented, which enables the possibility of teaching students about the development of critical thinking, analysis of creative solutions and programming, through the assembly and programming of interactive robots. With this solution together, an annual growth of enrolled students of approximately 15% was achieved.
- The solution offered for the improvement point related to the need for an efficient process for administrative document management consisted of the Ricoh Smart Flow solution, which facilitated the digitization and management of documents, for greater access and agility in the search for documents. . at the time required. “We innovate with a robotics team in the laboratories to reinforce critical and logical thinking in our students.
