Ricoh Latin America receives ISO certification

Ricoh Latin America, a subsidiary of the Japanese industrial group Ricoh Company, has just received a new certification for ISO 9001/2015 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001/2015 (Environmental Management). The company becomes the only one in the region with the certificate as a way of recognizing the practices adopted.

ISO 9001 deals with the requirements for a QMS and is a standard that allows organizations to verify the consistency of their processes, and measure and monitor them to increase their competitiveness thus ensuring customer satisfaction.

ISO 14001 is an international standard, which establishes the best practices to be adopted in the conduct of the Environmental Management System in the company. It is a model recognized throughout the world, which allows actions to be established through duly planned operational and monitoring procedures to promote the improvement of environmental performance and attitudes aimed at preventing pollution.

Certifications are granted after audits by external and independent companies. The document is issued by ABS QualityEvaluations Inc., a firm accredited by the American National Accreditation Board (ANAB). The certificates are valid until 2018.
